CommSite has been carrying out multiple on-going work programs for mobile telecommunications carriers since the company began business in 2010. These tasks range from maintenance of external hardware at height to more technical aspects of fault diagnosis and repairs to 3G/4G base station systems. We have gained a reputation for our efficiency and technical competence/capability. These services are delivered nationally if required but predominantly supports clients in Victoria and Tasmania. With constant investment in new staff and skills, CommSite is also developing services in specialist fields such as RF interference investigation and DAS trouble- shooting, optimisation and repair.
OUR FIELD TEAMS:
CommSite has a broad skill base comprising engineering and trade qualified RF personnel with backgrounds in heavy industrial environments such as Mining, Power Generation, Petroleum (Oil & Gas), Digital and Analog Trunked Radio Systems, Cellular Mobile Networks and Carrier Grade Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). In addition to our extensive technical skill set, we provide complete tower rigging services and tower construction.
Our Telco riggers are complemented and supported by our technical personnel, who are licenced riggers as well as registered cablers with endorsements. We also carry out turnkey Optic Fibre to the site installations including Pit & Pipe civils, testing and fault finding. This enables CommSite to provide complete communications site construction from “Greenfield” through to commissioning.
Our site teams are supported by project managers, HSEQ Manager, A-Grade electricians, administration staff and apprentice technician/riggers. Our team has flexibility for project delivery, based on customer demand, utilising casual technicians, riggers and quality civil subcontractors, chosen for their individual skills and expertise.
At CommSite we are committed to the safety of our personnel. Our primary focus is on the higher risk tasks such as work at heights. We have OH&S qualified management actively monitoring our activities and reporting on performance. Our teams are inducted and endorsed for site entry for all the mobile carrier sites and multiple managed private sites.
Our field staff are well equipped with more than thirty service vehicles set-up for work at remote sites with all the necessary safety equipment and tooling. The majority of these vehicles are 4WD. The fleet also includes a crane truck for heavy equipment deliveries. CommSite has an impressive selection of workshop and field test equipment to complement our staff and fleet.

Our height work teams come fully equipped with rescue kits and vertical rescue training to be self reliant in remote work areas. They can check and re-certify safety climb systems and also carry RF Hazard monitors for working in close proximity to RF hardware or broadcast equipment. All field team members working in this environment have current first aid, RF Awareness etc to meet all the legislative and mobile carrier safety requirements along with site access/induction compliance.
